Tuesday 24 Feb - Henry had a camp out last night with a campfire (the ridged Lego plastic cup with a LED lamp inside), he slept on the floor all night. I was surprised to find him still on the floor this morning, the floor is very hard & uncomfortable.

monday 23 feb - lunch at Chick-fil-A playarea, we were there for almost 2 hrs. Nico loves this playarea and so do I, they can't go anywhere but the equipment and I can refill my drink endlessly.

I sent joe & H off to the park for a birthday party, only to get call from joe asking "what is today's date!" I didn't know what the date was but guessed that it was the wrong day, the party is for Sunday. Anyways, they found a cool playground and played for a while.

Friday 20 Feb - Nico checking my id before we head into the rocket ship. We were going far far far far five months away restaurant for some indian BBQ(?). Crazy baby, he was using the walk in shower as a rocket ship, pressed some buttons (pretend) and we blasted into space to visit the restaurant for yummy food.

Mr. Survivor Man with all his gear. He watched Survivor man last night and decided to be survivor man for the day. He had all kinds of stuff packed in the backpack - first aid kit, toys, books, fishing pole, socks, a towel and one couch pillow! He was trying to steal one of oma's mini pillows.

Saturday 14 Feb 09 - totally forgot to take a picture of my valentine's day breakfast from Joe - MickeyD's egg & cheese bagel with a large coffee. Perfect breakfast, just us two. This is the start of H's ear muffler, its on double pointed needles casted on to 4 needles to knit in the round.

Tues- My kids are just plain weird...pot meet kettle. H decided he was going to school as a doctor. He's holding his valentine's box that he painted last night.
Mr. Nic showing off his latest fashion accessory...a "hat" made by mommy. Ya not really but he thinks its hat and wears it propped up on his head. I was testing out a stitch design and casted it off to the side, voila a hat.

Nico wanted to go to the "big park" yesterday, so off we went. We were there 5 mins and we were ready to get back into the car. The wind was howling across the lake, must have been 30deg with the wind chill. He was also disappointed that there were "no kids to play with me". I decided to go to the mall play area for warmth & playmates. He was happy about that and asked for chick fil-a, how could I say no to that cute face.

The beginnings of my knitting adventure. Oh the boys were having fun harrasing me while I tried to knit. They would grab the ball of yarn and run away or try to cut the yarn while i wasn't looking. WTH is wrong with those yungins! They got it out of their systems and now don't even bat an eye while I'm "working".

This is how I finally set up my book for the year. I couldn't decide if I wanted 1-3 pictures on the first page and then the following weeks would follow the Sunday-Saturday week. So, I just said s(crew it and did what I thought from the beginning - Jan 1 onwards. My week will run from Thursday to Wednesday Jan. 1-7 2009.

First page- using up leftovers in my stash, yippee. Chipboard shapes, stickers & hand cut papers will be used as embellishments throughout the book.

I painted bare chipboard with Distress Crackle and then rubbed mustard ink over the top.
The week cards will have a handcut photo corner & some stickles for good measure.
I already screwed up the date on the second card, oye. I just stamped the '8' on a scrap and covered the '7'.
One of the blank cards that I embellished. I'm planning on printing out a quote that will fit with the week.
The start of this week (thurs-wed), already have lastnight's ER visit documented. The rightside 4x6 pocket will be for journaling. Another day's picture will go into a 3x4 pocket.

I printed out the pictures 2in x 2in and glued them to a 4x6 cardstock.

My scrap closet is out.of.control. I was storing gifts in there and stuff just started piling up while I was trying to hide the presents. Hopefully in a few days it will be more organized.

Another cool thing the camera can do, add a stamp to a picture. I will not use this tool that often but it was a neat trick to show nico.

H had me take a picture for Joe, he wanted joe to build this lego truck. Well this morning there was a truck built for henry out of misc. lego pieces. I should have taken a photo. Good job joe.

I tried to get a picture of the boys with my grandma Trammie, nico wouldn't cooperate & h. was a hamm.

Nico only wanted mustard for dinner one night, that and shrimp feet. He loves the crunchy 'feet' (tails) of the shrimp that we cast off.

Christmas day

The boys liked the books they got in their stockings - Lego themed! They readers are hard to find, thank goodness for Amazon.

Nico liked the unders.
Henry's job was to read the packages and hand them out.
Nico tucked himself into a corner and devoured most of the candies from his stocking. He thought he was hiding from me.

Nico was so happy to find his dancing monster, he snuggled, danced, hugged & kissed the blue thing for quite a while.

This is how I found Nico the other night, he really likes that kitty pillow.
H. wanted me to take a picture of him with his favourite food - chick-fil-a. He had to check and make sure that I got the chicken in the picture.
Joe bought H another lego set, this time a star wars "bad guys". H. was so excited and couldn't go to sleep, after lights off he put on the head lamp and just sat on the floor staring at his legos.

The boys and I went over to eat lunch by the pond near Joe's workplace.

Headed over to Orlando for the weekend with Grandma & Grandpa. While waiting for the grandparents arrival, we waited in Downtown Disney - LEGO store to be exact. Henry really like this new resturant that is slated to open in the middle of October - T-Rex a dining experience. I got him to pose under the big t-rex display, you can barely make out a leg-bone on the left side.

Nicky digging the strawberry ice cream grandma bought him, he was eating it like a pie-eating contest.

Henry & I went out Saturday evening to ride the monorail around the parks & a boat to the Polynesian. I tried to get him to stick his hand up the statues nose but he would not get close enough to even touch the statue.

Joe picked up the camera, this is the only picture of me for the weekend.

The koi pond at the shades of green resort, the boys love to hand feed the fish. The fish come right up to you like puppies with their mouths hanging open.

Nico was leaning against the concrete wall that carries pedestrians over the highway, perfect shot or so I thought. He decided to roll across the wall onto the horizontal line, it cuts right through his neck. Oh well, at least it let me played with exposure.

Since he played with me, we went over to the mall and played in the playarea. He loves to sit in the coin machines and pretend that he is an ice cream truck.

Nico found his dream costume at Joann's and it was on sale too. It has a Vader heavy breathing noise maker, that's what's in his hands.

This little guy was watching me while I cleaned the pool, he sat there for 45mins until I decided to take a few pictures.

Spriglets of porterweed are popping up all over the yard, Joe mows it down every week. I need to get out there and dig some up for the butterfly garden.

Look what nico's eyes did this morning. I cropped in about 50%, removed part of the yellow handlebars & landscaping on the right side. The yellows are blown out (he was facing the sun) but dang the rest of the pic is cool.

The pictures I took on the first day of school came out orange/red due to the lighting & floor. It was so early and we were running a little behind, I just started taking shots w/o really paying attention to the environment & the camera settings.

Nico would get mad at me when I would walk around to the front and take a shot. He wanted me to stay behind him and push push push.

It is very windy today and the sun was playing hide & seeking throwing the exposure way off in a matter of seconds.

I caught this crow up in a tree about 150 feet away, he was holding on to a thin limb for all he's worth. The wind was just whipping him around. I'm going to use this on a Halloween transparency -card or page.

I have all these pictures that I take everyday and rarely do I show them off. Instead of using my scrapbooking blog for photos I'll use this blog. Nothing special other than pictures for family and stuff that I learned over the 20 years of playing with canon elan IIe SLR & now a Rebel dSLR.
